Pala Sookawesh: Engineering Hall of Fame - 2004

In addition to his MS degree in Industrial Engineering from OSU, Pala Sookawesh received a B. Eng. with Honours in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok at the age of 20. He completed the Certificate in Advanced Management Program at Harvard University in 1993, and in 2003, he received an Honorary Doctor of Engineering degree from Chulalongkorn. Sookawesh has served his country as an engineer and manager, primarily with the Petroleum Authority of Thailand as a Deputy Governor in several roles, then as President of Downstream Oil Business, and finally as the Governor of the entire Petroleum Authority. In retirement, Sookawesh serves on many boards and committees. He has received several Royal Thai Orders and Decorations in recognition of his leadership.
